Saturday I had the great honor to photograph a piano concerto – an event signed Marca-Ro. The Romanian born pianist Teo Milea played his piano stories for the first time at the Conservatoire de musique du Québec in Montréal.
The show has already been a great success in Romania, Ontario and now in Quebec. It sounded like a great treat for those familiar with the talents of the unique pianist performer Teo Milea. A questing, thinking artist with a sharp mind and a ferocious sense of humour, Teo started to play the piano when he was 6 years old and graduated the Music Faculty at the West University from Timisoara, Romania.
He attended various national and international piano competitions for music lovers across the country and beyond, from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary or the United States. In 2010 He collaborated with the Opera from Vienna within the framework of the International Festival of Opera from St. Margarethen, in “The Magic Flute”opera by W. Mozart.
In July 2012 he released his first piano solo album: On white…and black keys. In October 2015, Teo released his second solo piano record: Open Minds which won the Solo Piano Classical Album of the year.
He has relocated to Toronto, ON about 6 months ago and as a Romanian myself, I can say it is a true honor to welcome him to our new home, Canada.
Teo Milea is looking forward to introducing his works to the new public and prove that music is an international language and we are looking forward to seeing him again in Montreal.
